At the National Hamfest, we are a very disabled friendly event, trying to give priority to our disabled visitors.
Disabled Parking for those with a VALID disabled car badge is available within an area within the main car park, close to the main entrance, with a wheelchair friendly level surface ( subject to weather conditions) We ensure wide aisles within the George Stephenson Hall to ensure easy access to the stands. It is not possible to allow vehicles within the main area of the rally without escort, due to safety considerations.
Due to the number of visitors to the event is may be necessary to relocate some latecomers to an alternative part of the car park. It is not, unfortunately, possible to guarantee a space in the reserved disabled section especially later in the morning on Friday when the Rally is very busy. Every effort will, however, be made to provide assistance should it be necessary. Please make yourself known to one of the marshals wearing yellow or red tabards if in difficulty.
