The route in is via the A17 to avoid congestion at the A46/showground roundabout – the route is professionally sign posted “National Hamfest”. There is no access to the National Hamfest car park via the main “green” gates – access to the car park is via the sign posted “blue” gates.

Rail

East Coast Mainline from London or the North stops at Newark Northgate Station – There is a taxi rank outside.

Cross country trains stop at Newark Castle Station with Services to Nottingham and beyond and to Lincoln Skegness or Spalding.

We will be making arrangements with a local taxi firm to pick up from the Showground to get visitors back to the Stations.

Bob G3VCA (you may see him whilst you are at the event – he is one of the volunteers on the National Hamfest Staff) runs two small hotels within easy driving distance of the showground.
