Plans are well underway for the National Hamfest 2013. Many radio manufacturers and traders have already re-booked for this year following the increasing success of the event in recent years. International suppliers, as well as the usual smaller traders, clubs and special interest groups have also started booking their space. We are also looking to build on the success of the car boot area last year which was so popular with visitors last year. 2013 looks to be a bumper year for visitors wishing to grab a bargain.

There is much more besides the trade element of the show. Visitors can look forward to a full lecture program and more besides. Celebrating their centenary you can guarantee that the RSGB will have a few surprises, as well as the usual 2014 Year Book Launch, massive book stand, committee and regional stands. There will also be the usual “Bring and Buy” stall so start sorting through your shack and see what you can sell to finance some of the latest equipment on sale, or a bargain from the car boot sale – because there will be lots of goodies to choose from.

Morse assessment will again also be available on demand throughout the show from 5wpm to 20 wpm.

The RSGB Centenary Station G100RSGB will be operated onsite by the Camb- Hams’ vehicle “Flossie” and the National Hamfest special event station GB13NH will also be operating. Both stations will be allowing amateurs to operate on them, so bring your license along and play a little radio. Sheffield club are also planning to be onsite with the refitted GB4FUN vehicle to air its new callsign.

Bookings for tickets is now open so you can already buy tickets at discount prices now with the new two day pass option introduced this year.

With less than 140 Days to go, lets look forward to some warm dry weather for what is planned to be the Biggest and Best (Inter)-National Hamfest so far. Look forward to seeing you there.

Hamfest Prices for 2013

Entrance to the National Hamfest on the gate will be £5 per day (either Friday or Saturday). We are able to offer online pre-booked tickets at £4.50 with free postage and this year you are also able to purchase a Two Day Pass for £8 online a saving of £2 also with free postage. Holders of pre-booked tickets can access the event quicker through the express gate.

Pre-booked tickets will be available from the 14th of may and the last day for purchasing them will be the 1st September 2013 when the online shop will be closed

The Car Boot will cost £15 for a 3 x 3 metre pitch and includes a free table. An extra tables will be available at a cost of £3 per table and there is a limit to 2 tables per pitch.
